About

With the UFCW, You Are The Union

UFCW Local 2013 is a progressive labor union made up of working men and women sticking together to achieve dignity and respect in the workplace. Our members work in:

  • Health Facilities
  • Warehouses
  • Manufacturing
  • Parking Garages
  • In the food industry

We are one of the nearly 1,000 local unions in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico that make up the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.

The UFCW International Union is North America’s Neighborhood Union—1.3 million members standing together to improve the lives and livelihoods of workers, families, and communities.

In Union there is strength

Labor Unions have won all of the minimum rights provided by law that we have now such as minimum wage, overtime after 40 hours and unemployment insurance and sick leave. Our Union members continue to fight for more through their contract negotiations.

  • With a Union you have a voice in the workplace. Instead of accepting whatever policies or benefits the employers decides to implement, workers in the Union have a voice. The collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the employer and the Union, which workers must vote on, defines what benefits and working conditions are agreed to and provides a legally binding way to enforce:
  • Negotiated wages, health care and retirement plans
  • Defined work schedules
  • Grievance procedures
  • Reasonable workload requirements
  • Protection from unfair treatment and favoritism by the boss
  • Job security and seniority rights
  • Labor Management Committees

In these uncertain times, union power ensures proper PPE and social distancing guidelines in our worksites. Being a part of the union ensures that your voice is heard and your safety is a priority.
